I. About the Journal
The Tanzania Journal of Special Education (ISSN 1821-8407) is produced and published by Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University (SEKOMU) since 2013. It is a peer reviewed referred journal that publishes articles in the fields of special and inclusive education. Contributors knowledgeable in fields other than special and inclusive education write articles that uncover the plight of persons with disabilities from legal, economical or religious perspectives. The Tanzania Journal of Special Education (TJSE) has an editorial board of 8 people from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and United Kingdom.
II. Call for Manuscripts
The Chief Editor of TJSE invites academicians and researchers to submit manuscripts for articles of next publication of the journal.
III. Guidelines to Contributors
The manuscript should be written in either Kiswahili or English.
2. TYPE OF MANUSCRIPT:
Authors have to indicate on the title page of their manuscripts: “Article”, “Review article”, “Remarks”, “Rebuttal” and so on.
3. ACCEPTANCE OF MANUSCRIPT:
The Editorial Committee holds responsibility for deciding on acceptance of the manuscript.
4. RETURNING MANUSCRIPT:
No manuscript will be returned to its author.
5. FORMAT OF MANUSCRIPT:
Manuscripts have to be typed at double space on A4 on one side of the paper. There has to be a margin of not less than 3 cm on the right and left of the page.
6. INFORMATION ABOUT AUTHOR(S):
Title, author’s name and institution(s) of affiliation have to be written on a separate sheet. If the article has been written by more than one author, particulars of those authors should be included, beginning with the first author.
7. TABLES AND IMAGES:
Authors should indicate the placing and sizes of tables, figures and photographs.
Endnotes have to be numbered consecutively and typed on separate sheets at the back of the text, and have to be indicated by raised numbers in the text.
References to publications have to be placed in text as follows: Chale (1995; 15) where the first set of numbers indicates year of publication and the following set page number.
Bibliographies have to be given at the back of the text.
A one paragraph abstract/summary of the paper/article should be submitted on a separate sheet.
12. NUMBER OF PUBLICATIONS:
The Tanzania Journal of Special Education is published bi-annually.
Articles should be submitted not later than 31st December 2018.
